How to compare stone protection installation quotes

Compare the actual system and inclusions.

Name the product

Ask each installer to identify the film and finish being quoted. A generic phrase such as premium protection does not establish thickness, suitability, cleaning requirements or warranty terms. Obtain the documentation for the actual product rather than borrowing performance claims from a different brand.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Match the surface schedule

Use the same numbered photographs and dimensions for each enquiry. Check that all quotations include the same tops, exposed faces and edge details. Ask where seams or termination lines are proposed. A lower total may reflect less coverage or different preparation rather than an equivalent service.

Read the exclusions

Check who handles old-film removal, existing stone repairs, fittings and access arrangements. Ask how unexpected surface conditions will be handled before the appointment. Product warranties and installation responsibilities are separate matters; keep the actual written terms instead of relying on a headline duration.

Choose an informed next step

Review the appearance of the proposed finish and obtain clear care guidance. Confirm the total, GST treatment and agreed timing. StoneProtect provides installation enquiries alongside supply enquiries, with scope reviewed remotely. We do not claim affiliation with another protection-film brand or apply another manufacturer’s guarantees to an unspecified product.
