When to protect a new kitchen

Coordinate the work in the right order.

Build a short project timeline

List the dates for stone installation, splashbacks, taps, appliances and other finishing trades. Tell us whether those dates are confirmed. Surface protection needs to be planned around the condition of the top and the work still to come.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Clarify readiness

Ask what must be complete before the chosen film can be applied. Any relevant preparation, curing or waiting period depends on the materials and products involved. Avoid using a generic timetable for a newly installed or treated surface.

Plan the handover

Confirm who will receive the care instructions and when normal use may resume. If builders or cleaners will return, share the instructions with them. Book installation only once scope, price and a suitable appointment are agreed.
