Quartzite surface protection

Quartzite can have striking natural variation. We assess the named slab, finish and existing treatments rather than assuming every stone sold under a similar name behaves the same way.

Identify what was installed

Your invoice, supplier label or slab name can help identify the surface. Send these with the photos if you have them. Include whether a sealer, enhancer or coating has been applied and when. Trade names alone may not establish the stone’s composition, so uncertain identification should be resolved before selecting products.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Plan around the detailing

Bookmatched islands, waterfall panels and highly visible joins deserve a considered layout. Photograph where the horizontal surface meets each vertical face. Make clear whether the request includes only the working top or the returns as well. This avoids a quote that leaves out a prominent part of the island.

Deal with joins separately

Open, discoloured or uneven joints are not resolved simply by applying film. Tell us which joins concern you and photograph them closely. Join repair may need its own price and preparation plan. A film quotation should describe the condition required before application and any excluded repair work.

Prepare the enquiry

Measure each independent section. Mark sinks, cooktops, taps and other penetrations on a simple sketch. Add the suburb and your preferred timing. The more clearly the layout is shown, the easier it is to discuss coverage and provide an accurate remote quote.
