Replacing existing protection film

Identify what is already there.

Share the installation history

Send the product name, installation date and original paperwork if available. Photograph the full surface and any lifting, discolouration or damage. Explain what prompted the replacement enquiry and whether any removal has already begun.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Avoid pulling it off first

Removal methods depend on the film and the substrate beneath it. Do not assume an unfamiliar product can be peeled away without affecting the surface. Ask for assessment before applying heat, solvents or tools.

Quote the complete sequence

Removal, surface preparation and new application are separate tasks to define. The condition beneath existing film may not be fully visible in photographs. Any uncertainty and pricing conditions should be described before the work is accepted.
