Preparing your home for film installation

Make the agreed work easier to complete.

Confirm the job details

Before the appointment, check the accepted surfaces, product, finish, price and arrival arrangement. Confirm who will provide access and who can answer scope questions during the work. An enquiry or proposed date is not a confirmed appointment until it has been accepted.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Clear the agreed working area

Move loose appliances, ornaments and personal items away from the surfaces to be worked on. Tell the installer about anything too heavy or fixed to move yourself. Follow the specific preparation instructions supplied for your job; do not introduce a new cleaner, coating or polishing product just before installation.

Plan household use and handover

Arrange an alternative preparation area if the kitchen will be unavailable. Ask for the selected film’s return-to-use instructions rather than relying on a universal waiting period. At handover, keep the product details and care guidance, and review the agreed coverage, seams and edges with the installer.
