Island bench protection planning

One centrepiece. Several surfaces.

Measure more than the working top

An island may include the horizontal top, dining overhang, waterfall ends and a raised section. Label and measure each requested area. Include a photo from both ends and from the seating side so the full shape is clear.

Consider the finish, the edge profile and the light across your surface.

Account for everyday use

Explain whether the island contains the sink, cooktop or dining space. Each use changes the locations of fittings and the details to discuss. Do not assume an application suitable for one area has the same requirements beside heat or standing water.

Agree the visual transitions

Ask where film will end at edges and how a protected top will appear beside an unprotected return. Large surfaces may need seams depending on the selected film and width. Discuss these before booking so the final layout matches your expectations.
