Show the edge profile
Photograph square, rounded, bevelled and shaped edges close up. Include the underside of an overhang if relevant and safe to photograph. Do not assume every profile can be covered in the same way. The proposed termination should be agreed for the selected film and surface.
Understand seam placement
Large or irregular surfaces may require joins in the film depending on available widths and the layout. Ask whether seams are expected and where they would be positioned. A clear layout discussion is more useful than a blanket promise of an invisible finish.
Plan around fittings
Sink rims, taps, cooktops and other penetrations change the detailing. Explain whether fittings are already installed or still to come. If removal or another trade is required, that should be identified in the written scope with responsibility agreed beforehand.
Keep repair work distinct
A stone joint beneath the film remains a stone joint. Movement, unevenness or a failing bond needs separate consideration. Send photos of any concern before accepting a protection quote so the preparation is not based on an assumed sound surface.
